This case study demonstrates how Internet-Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (iCBT) helped a 35-year-old woman manage her irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms. The woman complained of bloating, discomfort, constipation, and anxiety related to her social and teaching responsibilities. She had been receiving standard treatment for her IBS over the six years since her diagnosis. To treat her IBS symptoms and psychological anxiety, the patient attended an iCBT programme. A considerable decrease in stomach symptoms, an improvement in emotional health, and a higher quality of life were all brought on by the iCBT intervention, which showed encouraging results. In this case study, the promise of iCBT as a convenient and efficient therapy method for IBS patients is highlighted, particularly for those who face barriers in seeking traditional face-to-face therapy.
